Airlines will introduce strict dimension-enforcing automated gate scanners for carry-on luggage
To eliminate boarding overhead-bin chaos, airlines will install laser dimension scanners at boarding turnstiles. Any carry-on bag exceeding exact dimensional allowances will be automatically rejected and routed to gate-check before the passenger can tap their boarding pass.
